I'm even more inspired after my foraging holiday so will have to really investigate my foraging handbooks which always fill me with good intentions.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07609378570741596783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4811617474824731934.post-87248944035658705682013-09-15T09:03:36.245-07:002013-09-15T09:03:36.245-07:00Blackberries are great. I think when you you work your arse off to get some crops going, free, effortless food is a very welcome bonus which can't be ignored! The blackberries yesterday were generally massive - you know you've hit a good patch when you just don't bother with the ones which are small and very knobbly. Think they are one of my favourite cooking fruits though. Brilliant that they combine and coincide with apples so well.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07609378570741596783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4811617474824731934.post-49630919373007158512013-09-09T02:29:34.537-07:002013-09-09T02:29:34.537-07:00I made blackberry and apple crumble yesterday. I still have some in the freezer from last year too I will be making blackberry gin soon.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08979390044895652899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4811617474824731934.post-87866126411492410172013-09-09T01:00:16.139-07:002013-09-09T01:00:16.139-07:00It's painful but satisfying indeed. Black juicy hands and scratches on my arms, but the result was a delicious blackberry pie and some pots of jam.<br />Have a nice gardening week!Janneke https://www.blogger.com/profile/11056916431881916066noreply@blogger.com
