Egg posies
Thinking about my first stall in April and decided that this was a nice way to use small flowers from the garden for easter arrangements. Just got to find ways to make everything stay put for ease of transportation, and then these could work!

Beautiful! I'm imagining these as a centrepiece on tables in a tea room.
ReplyDeleteTa very much - have now transferred it to a shallower cup so you can see the egg better. So many old crocks to select from! Buried under old china at mo - must start selling!
DeleteLovely idea. How about giving the egg shell a colour wash??? Also, maybe large yoghurt pots over the top may keep it safe when transporting ...just a thought :)
ReplyDeleteGot to fix egg in place with Oasis tack/ blue tack or something similar I think. Colour wash a good idea. Am hoping to find some white eggs, but hardly ever see these days. Must keep eyes peeled.
DeleteI don't know where to find white eggs, I have looked for it and asked for it but no one seem to sell them so if you find them anywhere please let me know! Painting brown eggs for Easter is not really the same....

ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at how well those flimsy stemmed primulas last as cut flowers. Such sturdy little doers at this time of year.
